Listening to Italian Colonialism is a video series of dialogues with researchers, artists and activists about the role of 1930s radio hits thematizing Ethiopia in Fascist Italy. The racial colonial imaginary produced and reproduced within this sonic memory, and the persistancy of that imaginary in the present day, are the central topics of the dialogues.

The project is based at the University of Innsbruck and supported by a FWF (Austrian Science Fund) grant.
